As part of the University of Santo Tomas community, the Guidance and Counseling Department (GCD) provides a developmental and comprehensive array of empirically based guidance programs and services. These are defined by outcomes of student academic, career, personal, and social development chunked into several competencies manifested in terms of measurable evidences of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The various guidance activities, ranging from counseling sessions, psychological testing, academic initiatives, specialized training programs and consultation are all geared towards propelling all Thomasian students to use their potentials to the fullest and to successfully reach their goals. The GCD is manned by a team of highly competent, compassionate, and committed counselors whose skills were honed through extensive trainings and experience in working with students. They are passionate in meeting the specific needs of individual students from diverse backgrounds. The Inter-School Peer Facilitators Gathering was held on February 2, 2013 at the AMV Multi-Purpose hall. The activity was attended by 146 peer facilitators coming from 18 schools within Metro manila and nearby provinces.
